Energie Steiermark to supply hydrogen for Strabag, Liebherr project

Austrian energy company Energie Steiermark supplies green hydrogen for a pilot project by Strabag SE and Liebherr to use hydrogen-powered wheel loader at Gratkorn quarry in Austria. The switch to hydrogen could save up to 37,500 litres of diesel or about 100 tonnes of CO2 annually. Strabag aims to be climate neutral by 2040 and has replaced diesel-powered machines with electric conveyor belts.
