EP Produzione secures 170 MW battery storage in Italian capacity market auction

ESS NewsItaly’s latest capacity market auction assigned 42.2 GW of capacity for the next year. EP Produzione, a subsidiary of Czech energy group EPH, won contracts for two battery energy storage projects in Italy. One at Fiume Santo coal-fired power plant in Sardinia and another at Ferrara Energy Center. The projects aim to contribute to the energy security and sustainable transition of the regions.
