EU Solar Rooftop Standard could initiate installation of 150 GW to 200 GW of rooftop PV

The European Union's Solar Rooftop Standard under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive mandates new buildings to be solar-ready, potentially powering 56 million European homes. The standard aims to install 150-200 GW of rooftop solar between 2026-2030. Rooftop solar capacity in Europe is expected to reach 355 GW by 2027.
