European Council passes vote in favour of Net-Zero Industry Act, to come into force in June

The European Council has adopted the EU’s Net-Zero Industry Act after just over a year of discussion to encourage investment in clean energy manufacturing. The Act sets a target for European manufacturers to meet at least 40% of the EU’s annual renewable energy deployment needs by 2030. This legislative process aims to bolster the clean energy manufacturing industry and address the imbalance in the European renewables manufacturing sector.
