Eurostar pledges 100% renewables powered train rides by 2030

Eurostar, a major European railway company, announced it will power its entire fleet with 100% renewable energy by 2030. The firm has already achieved 100% renewable energy usage for its trains in the Netherlands, and is studying potential solar projects in Belgium in collaboration with Infrabel. Eurostar joined the global RE100 initiative, making it the first rail company to do so. The company aims to increase its passenger numbers while implementing eco-friendly practices throughout its services.
