EWE closes initial hydrogen storage tests near Berlin

German energy service provider EWE successfully completed the first phase of tests of a hydrogen storage cavern in Ruedersdorf near Berlin. The tests showed satisfactory results with slow injection and withdrawal of hydrogen. EWE plans to incorporate the findings into a large-scale storage project in Huntorf, Lower Saxony.
