Field test supports viability of 20% hydrogen in German gas network

TÜV Rheinland, GVG Rhein-Erft, and RNG conducted a field test in Germany to test the impact of adding 20% hydrogen to the gas network in Erftstadt. The test showed that all connected gas consumption devices worked without faults. Homeowners and businesses were able to use their devices as usual without conversion. The experiment aimed to increase the hydrogen blend to 30% in suitable gas networks.
