Fiera Milano switches on Italy’s largest rooftop PV array

Fiera Milano, a trade fair organizer in Milan, has activated Italy's largest rooftop PV system with an 18 MW array on the pavilions of its exhibition center in Rho. The system was built by Italian power utility A2A with 50,000 solar panels covering 330,000 square meters. A2A completed the project in three stages, connecting 5.8 MW to the grid this month. The system will mainly serve Fiera Milano's energy needs with surplus energy feeding into the grid.
