First Vestas V162-7.2 powers up

The EnVentus V162-7.2 wind turbine at Bürgerwindpark Janneby eG in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany has produced its first kWh. Vestas introduced a side compartment in the turbine for flexibility in transportation. The nacelle design is shared with the V172-7.2 turbine. Vestas expressed gratitude to Bürgerwindpark Janneby for trust and collaboration in rigorous test & validation.
