Floating wind steel project wins funding

The Launchpad project aims to develop low CO2 steels for use in floating offshore wind platforms in the Celtic Sea, receiving nearly £1m of innovation funding. It involves collaborations between MPS, Tata Steel UK, Swansea University, Associated British Ports, and Ledwood Engineering. The project focuses on optimizing the structural efficiency of MPS's floating offshore wind platform, PelaFlex, using strip steel from Port Talbot and components from local suppliers.
