Fortum, partners agree exit from 185-MW Indian solar portfolio

Finnish energy company Fortum Oyj has agreed to sell a 185-MW solar portfolio in India to Gentari Sdn Bhd, a clean energy unit of Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas. The portfolio includes four solar power plants with capacities ranging from 5 MW to 100 MW. This sale is part of Fortum's strategy to focus on the Nordic region, while exploring alternatives for its other operations in India.
