Fraunhofer ISE proposes new standard for inverters with arc fault detectors

Germany's Fraunhofer ISE announced the publication of a new international test standard for inverters with arc fault detection devices. The standard aims to address the shortcomings of the previous US standard by providing a more realistic test setup using a PV simulator. The institute is currently testing devices for DC voltages up to 1,500 V at its TestLab Power Electronics.
