HDF Energy has inaugurated the world’s first plant producing hydrogen fuel cells capable of over 1 MW capacity. They manufacture high-power fuel cells using PEM technology, with plans to produce 1 GW of hydrogen cells per year by 2030. The facility will provide fuel cells for heavy maritime and railway transportation, generate electricity for public power grids, and export 80% of its output. The plant is located in Blanquefort, France. HDF Energy also produces non-intermittent energy through massive hydrogen storage and is involved in projects in former coal regions in Greece.
