Fronius to cut 350 jobs

Fronius plans to cut 350 jobs at its Sattledt production site due to the current solar crisis. The company had previously reduced working hours and temporary workers by the end of 2023. Despite investing €420 million to expand production and hiring 2,000 new employees, Fronius faced challenges with slow inventory reductions by wholesalers, decreased PV system installations in both Austria and Germany, and dumping prices from Chinese manufacturers. European politicians have yet to address the issue decisively.
