The Moscow Government has instructed Gazprom not to pay dividends for 2023 as the company recorded its first annual losses since 1999. This decision was made due to a significant decrease in gas sales to Europe following the war in Ukraine. Gazprom registered losses of approximately seven billion dollars last year. Despite being the world's largest producer of natural gas, its exports to Europe decreased significantly, impacting its financial performance.
