GE Vernova bags UK grid battery deal

GE Vernova to supply a 48MW battery energy storage system in Cornwall, south-west UK for the Sambar Power project. Varco Energy selected GE Vernova for the complete BESS, including FLEXRESERVOIR with FLEXIQ Controls, FLEXINVERTER central inverters, and Battery DC-Blocks. Varco collaborates with GE Vernova to build flexible storage assets to balance renewable energy generation in the UK.
