Queensland state-owned power company Stanwell Corp. signed a 15-year deal with Genex Power for renewable energy from Bulli Creek project, which is set to be the largest grid-connected solar farm in Australia. The 775 MW first stage will include up to 2 GW of solar and 400 MW/1,600 MWh of battery energy storage capacity. Stanwell's PPA with Genex contributes to Queensland's renewable energy targets. Stanwell, with coal-fired power stations, aims to have 9 to 10 GW of renewable energy generation by 2035.
