German energy service provider enviaM to build 700MW solar PV in Central Germany

The enviaM Group along with its subsidiaries envia THERM and ASG GROUP are investing in over 700MW of solar PV projects in Central Germany, mainly in the regions of Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, and Saxony. The partnership aims to expand renewables in the region. Thomas Kühnert, the managing director of envia THERM GmbH, expresses the company's intent to enhance electricity generation from wind and solar power plants by collaborating with the ASG Group. The energy generated from these projects will be used in regional energy solutions along with energy battery storage systems. Germany aims to install 215GW of solar capacity by 2030 and has already surpassed the 90GW mark, with an addition of 7.5GW during the first half of 2024.
