Esysteme21, a German solar company, achieves complete energy self-sufficiency using photovoltaics, hydrogen, and battery storage. Norbert Unterharnscheidt, managing director of Esysteme21, mentions their energy costs for electricity and heat averaging €0.25 ($0.27)/kWh. The company expanded its building with office space, storage, and climate-friendly surfaces, and installed an 80 kW solar system, an 80 kWh battery storage system, and an electrolysis system for hydrogen production. They also use a fuel cell, heat pump, hydrogen dark radiators, and electric vehicle charging stations powered by renewable electricity. The company's annual electricity demand is 17,750 kWh and they aim to achieve climate neutrality transformations.
