German offshore wind up by 377MW in 2024

In the first half of 2024, 36 offshore wind turbines with a capacity of 377MW were connected to the power grid in Germany. Currently, there are 29 offshore wind projects operating in Germany with a total capacity of 8858MW and 1602 machines. The German government is evaluating the tender criteria for offshore wind projects and the industry associations advocate for a more efficient tender design to support capacity expansion and innovation in the industry.
