German tenders award 2.9 GW of onshore wind, solar and storage

Germany has allocated almost 2.4 GW of onshore wind capacity and an additional 512 MW of projects combining solar and energy storage technologies in its latest tenders. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia will host 727 MW of the allocated projects, while Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein will have 430 MW and 318 MW, respectively. In the innovation auction, Germany selected 512 MW of solar-plus-storage projects. The next onshore wind tender is scheduled for August 1.
