Germany launches new measures to support solar

The German parliament has passed the Solarpaket 1 legislation, aimed at enhancing the photovoltaic (PV) sector. This law raises feed-in tariffs for the C&I segment, simplifies the installation of PV balcony systems, and increases the scale limit for solar projects in tenders. It does not include a resilience bonus for using European-made PV components. Current PV capacity in Germany is significant, with consistent growth in annual additions.
