Germany is disbursing EUR 4.6 billion in subsidies for 23 projects for hydrogen production, transportation, and storage. The projects aim to decarbonize the energy-intensive sectors and enable hydrogen imports. Minister Robert Habeck highlights the importance of hydrogen infrastructure for decarbonization. The European Commission approved Germany's state aid under the IPCEI Hydrogen program.
