Germany reveals results of latest solar tender

The latest solar project tender in Germany, managed by the Federal Network Agency, saw a great increase in participation with 570 bids submitted, totaling 4.1GW. Of these, 326 bids were accepted, filling the 2.2GW capacity. The tender, which aimed to expand renewable energy on lands with limited agricultural value like motorway verges and grasslands, received bids mainly from Bavaria, Schleswig-Holstein, and Lower Saxony. President Klaus Müller highlighted the robust competition and stable pricing in the sector.
