Germany’s power mix boasts more renewables, lower spot market prices – despite nuclear exit

Electricity in Germany has become cheaper and cleaner since the shutdown of the last three nuclear power plants. Renewables now account for a record 57.7% of net electricity generation. The decommissioned reactors' output reduction was balanced by lower consumption, decreased exports, and increased imports.
