Germany's Voodin installs 100% recyclable wooden turbine blade prototype

Voodin Blade Technology, based in Germany, has developed a new type of wooden wind turbine blade that is fully recyclable, cheaper, and more CO2 efficient. The company, utilizing laminated veneer lumber blades, aims to solve the waste problem associated with traditional fiberglass and carbon fiber turbine blades. These innovative 19.3-metre blades installed in Breuna promise significant reductions in production and operational emissions. Voodin Blade has also been testing larger blade prototypes and plans further developments in renewable energy technology.
