Greece’s solar curtailment starts to bite

IPTO, Greece's transmission system operator, had to halt electricity imports from neighboring countries to ensure safe operation of the Greek electricity system. They disconnected renewable-energy fleet during Easter due to low demand. Pantelis Biskas warned about high curtailment of renewable energy. The government's energy storage policy was criticized for favoring front-of-the-meter systems over behind-the-meter systems.
