Greece shuns net metering

Greece's new law 5106/2024 closed the net metering scheme, including support for rooftop solar-plus-battery systems. Electricity users can now only install PV systems without injecting electricity into the grid. The law also allows exceptions for farmers, government departments, and households in poverty.
