Green Gold gets approval for 108-MW solar, BESS project in S Australia

Green Gold Energy Pty Ltd secured development approval for the Morgan Solar & Battery Energy Storage System project in South Australia. The project will have 108 MW/130 MWdc of solar capacity and 91.7 MWh of BESS. It is set to be constructed over a 622-hectare site in the Mid Murray Council in the Stuart region. The company expects the project to be shovel-ready by the end of 2024 and plans to invest over AUD 185 million. Green Gold is also exploring green hydrogen production at the Morgan site.
