Utility Octopus Energy has signed a two-year fixed price contract with Gresham House Energy Storage Fund (GRID) in the UK, covering 568MW/920MWh of its BESS assets. The agreement will generate annual revenues of £43 million for GRID. Octopus Energy will use the BESS projects' batteries at a price determined by the duration of the assets. CGI, a superior mix of contractual and merchant revenues, aims to mitigate risks and provide a higher price for GRID's CPI tolling agreement.
