Groundbreaking held for EGL2 subsea link

Groundbreaking ceremony for a 2GW subsea link between Scotland and England called EGL2 project, with significant involvement from National Grid, SSEN Transmission, Prysmian, Hitachi Energy, and BAM. The project aims to provide renewable electricity to power eight million homes, supporting the UK's transition to a net zero economy. Akshay Kaul from Ofgem highlighted the importance of the project in connecting consumers to renewable energy quickly.
