Groundbreaking for a 2GW subsea link between Scotland and England, EGL2 project launched with National Grid and SSEN Transmission representatives at Peterhead and Wren Hall. Project supports local jobs in Yorkshire. Collaboration with HVDC cable supplier Prysmian, Hitachi Energy, and BAM. Ofgem's involvement in the fast track process for renewable energy connects consumers quickly. Wren Hall Converter Station in Drax commences main construction activities, expected operational by 2029.
