Hamburg 2024: Havfram to install Waterkant turbines

Havfram has signed a contract with Luxcara for the transport and installation of turbines for the 270MW Waterkant offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The agreement covers the vessel charter for transport and installation of 16 18.5MW MingYang machines. Havfram will execute the works during the spring of 2028, using one of its wind turbine installation vessels, currently under construction. Waterkant will be built approximately 90km off the island of Borkum. Project director at Luxcara and Waterkant Energy managing director, Holger Matthiesen, expressed excitement about the partnership with Havfram for the German Waterkant offshore wind project.
