Heliene, Solarcycle ink US recycled solar glass supply deal

Heliene, a Canadian solar cell and module manufacturer, is set to buy 4GW of recycled glass from US PV recycling firm Solarcycle over the next five years to meet the IRA domestic content tax threshold. Solarcycle has signed deals with various US solar manufacturers for recycling broken modules. Heliene, with headquarters in Canada, operates a solar module manufacturing facility in Minnesota and plans to expand US production through a joint venture with Premier Energies. Martin Pochtaruk, CEO of Heliene, emphasized the importance of partnering with Solarcycle to improve the supply of domestic components to qualify for the domestic content adder.
