Heliostat field-integrated PVT system supported by organic PCM

Researchers from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology in Bangladesh constructed and tested a heliostat field-integrated photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) system with organic phase change materials (PCMs) to improve thermal conductivity. They found that employing PCM with or without carbon black had little influence on electrical efficiency but significantly improved thermal efficiency. The system showed promising results for solar energy storage and hot water systems.
