Hive Energy secures grid connection permit for 215.6 MW of solar projects in Serbia

UK-based renewables developer Hive Energy has secured grid connections for four projects in Serbia totaling 216.5 MW. The projects in Serbia include Pirot, Prokuplje, Veliko Gradiste I, and Veliko Gradiste II with accompanying battery energy storage systems. Serbia had deployed 137 MW of solar by the end of 2023. The Serbian government signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese company for a 200 MW solar power plant. Hive Energy also unveiled plans for a solar-driven hydrogen hub in Spain.
