Home office, schooling helped distributed PV address duck curve challenge during Covid-19 crisis

Researchers from Newcastle University and Heriot-Watt University in the UK analyzed the effects of home office and homeschooling during Covid-19 lockdowns on electricity consumption. They found that distributed solar-plus-storage helped mitigate the duck curve, with increased self-consumption of PV electricity and decreased reliance on grid electricity.
