Hy2gen Canada bags ammonia hub power deal

Hy2gen Canada has been selected by Quebec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy to receive a block of electricity for a renewable hydrogen and ammonia production plant in Baie-Comeau. The Courant project, with a capacity of 300MW, is a significant milestone that will enable the construction of a renewable ammonia plant by 2026. The production of 237,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia per year, supported by a steady electricity supply, will contribute to decarbonising chemicals production and transitioning towards a sustainable industry.
