Researchers in the Netherlands have studied combining hydrogen production, battery storage, rooftop PV power, and small wind turbines in off-grid households. They proposed a system with a PEM hydrogen electrolysis system, hydrogen storage tank, purification unit, hydrogen fuel cell, and lithium-ion battery. The system aims to store surplus solar power, prioritize hydrogen generation, and utilize both hydrogen and battery storage efficiently.
