Iberdrola Australia breaks ground on 376MW solar-plus-storage site in Queensland

Iberdrola Australia, a sub-division of utility giant Iberdrola, has commenced construction of a 376MW solar-plus-storage project named Broadsound Solar and Battery in Queensland. The project will include a co-located battery energy storage system and is anticipated to begin construction in mid-2026. The organization has partnerships with the Barada Kabalbara Yetimarala (BKY) People for the site's construction. The project area is approximately 2,100 acres and will utilize around 645,000 solar PV modules.
