Iberdrola begins 556MW Oz hybrid build

Iberdrola Australia is commencing construction at the 556MW Broadsound Solar and Battery project in Queensland. The project, consisting of a 376MW solar farm and a 180MW co-located battery storage system, aims to power 145,000 homes. Iberdrola anticipates generating local energy with this project, creating up to 350 jobs over two years. The CEO, Ross Rolfe, highlighted the company's commitment to the Australian market and emphasized collaboration with the local community and government.
