Invinity Energy Systems, a technology company specializing in vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB), is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Scotland, UK. The company has leased a 26,000-square-foot site in Motherwell to focus on VRFB assembly, complementing its existing facility in Bathgate for cell stack manufacturing. The new plant aims to increase the UK's VRFB annual manufacturing capacity to over 500MWh and is expected to be operational in the third quarter of this year. Invinity's recent financing and strategic investments highlight its commitment to commercializing long-duration and non-lithium energy storage technologies.
