IPP Ørsted targets 1GW of BESS in US Midwest

Ørsted has partnered with Mission Clean Energy to develop 1GW of battery energy storage system projects in the Midwest US. They have submitted applications for projects in MISO Central and MISO North regions. Ørsted is known for offshore wind but is now expanding into solar and storage with a focus on large-scale standalone energy storage projects.
