Italian scientists build 12.6%-efficient nickel oxide-based large-area perovskite solar modules

Researchers at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy developed inverted perovskite solar modules using a hole transport layer (HTL) made of inorganic nickel oxide (NiOx). They optimized the deposition process of NiOx over a large area using a scalable technique known as blade coater. The research focuses on enhancing stability and efficiency of perovskite solar cells through innovative fabrication methods.
