Italy allocates 145.5 MW of PV in latest renewables auction

Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE), Italy's energy agency, allocated 243.3 MW of renewable energy capacity in the country's 14th renewable energy auction. The GSE awarded 145.5 MW of solar capacity and 97.8 MW from 4 wind projects. Developers offered discounts ranging from 2% to 5.5%. PV projects ranged from 1.8 MW to 9.7 MW. The lowest bid was €0.0732/kWh for a 5 MW solar facility in the province of Mantova, northern Italy.
