Italy allocates 154 MW of solar in latest renewables auction

Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE), Italy's energy agency, allocated 368.2 MW of renewable energy capacity in Italy's 11th renewable energy auction. This included 149 MW of solar capacity and 213.8 MW from five wind projects. The PV projects ranged from 1.7 MW to 49.5 MW, with bids offering discounts from 2% to 2.8% below the auction ceiling price. The lowest bid was €0.0607/kWh for a 75.6 MW wind farm in Foggia, southern Italy. The bids were in line with or slightly higher than previous auctions.
