Italy’s Redelfi spots US BESS opportunities, US’ Bluestar Energy Capital goes in opposite direction

Redelfi, an Italian renewables company, has launched an energy storage development platform in the US. It has created a joint venture (JV) Redelio Renewables with US-headquartered developer Elio Energy Group. Redelfi is listed on the Italian Stock Exchange's Euronext segment. The pair aims to develop up to 2.4GW of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in the US. Redelfi has also expanded its portfolio in Italy and has formed a 50:50 JV called Ribess with Italian developer InfraLab. On the other hand, US-based Bluestar Energy Capital has initiated a new development platform, Noveria Energy, focusing on European BESS projects, with a pipeline in Germany.
