Johnson Matthey's methanol tech picked by HIF Global in Uruguay

Johnson Matthey will provide methanol technology for South America's largest e-methanol plant in Uruguay. The eFuels project by HIF Global uses electrolytic hydrogen and waste CO2 to produce e-methanol for marine market and e-gasoline. The facility aims for 700,000 tonnes per year production capacity by 2025. Johnson Matthey's eMERALD technology was demonstrated successfully in Chile. The company collaborates with HIF Global on projects in the US, Tasmania, and Chile.
