Jupiter Power unveils plan for 700MW BESS at former ExxonMobil oil depot in Massachusetts

Utility-scale battery storage developer Jupiter Power plans to construct a 700MW standalone battery energy storage system at the site of a former ExxonMobil oil depot in Everett, Massachusetts. Jupiter Power also owns the Norman Street Battery Storage position and has significant battery projects across the US. Competitor Plus Power closed financing for a 150MW/300MWh BESS project in Massachusetts. Residents have voiced concerns about Jupiter Power's 275MW Oyster Shore Battery Storage project in Nassau County, New York, leading to an online petition.
