Kyon to build 110-MW/220-MWh battery in Lower Saxony

German energy storage developer Kyon Energy to build one of Germany's largest energy storage systems in Helmstedt, Lower Saxony. The 110-MW/220-MWh project near the substation aims to increase grid flexibility and integrate renewable energies. The project supports the transformation of a former lignite mining area. Kyon Energy has a track record of developing 121 MW battery storage systems and has over 650 MW of permitted projects.
